Our ceramics workshop is wonderfully atmospheric and cozy.

Our atmospheric ceramics workshop is located in the center of Parkano. We have space for about 8-10 course participants.

We have already hosted several courses, and our participants have created stunning pieces. You can find pictures of their creations in the Image Gallery.

In our workshop's boutique, you'll find beautiful ceramics for yourself or as a gift. We also offer gift cards, available in both digital and physical formats.

In addition to courses, we also organize team-building days, birthday parties, and private evenings.

Behind Bylaurahilmaceramics is entrepreneur Laura Nikula.

Laura took a ceramics beginners' course years ago, after which she has deepened her skills independently.

Driven by a passion for ceramics, she creates a variety of functional and decorative items. The ceramics workshop also includes a studio room where ceramics are for sale.

The ceramics workshop was born out of Laura's passion for creating ceramics. Initially, ceramics were made at Laura's home, but eventually, the mess indoors became tiresome. She needed a space where she could fully realize her dream. It soon became clear that the space needed to be close to home for practical reasons. "So, we ended up buying a spacious 27m² construction container, which had previously been a carpenter's workshop. We renovated the space inside to suit our needs. We created a cozy and inviting place to make ceramics."

The passion for ceramics stems from several different factors. It's especially fascinating to create beautiful, unique, durable, and versatile functional items for a purpose. Additionally, the thought that clay is, at its best, a pure product of nature is particularly intriguing. Of course, many clays have industrial additives to improve their composition, but the idea of clay's origin somehow grounds you back to nature. Clay as a material is also very versatile and allows for the creation of almost any form. The greatest bonus of working with clay is its therapeutic nature. Working with clay can make you forget everything else and focus on the present moment.

The ceramics workshop also created the conditions for organizing ceramics courses. The idea of hosting modern and atmospheric short ceramics courses, especially for a small town, felt wonderful. We want to offer something that hasn't been available here before.
